STATE OF EMERGENCY
Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency which goes into effect at 5 p.m. for the impending storm. Here are some tips and ways you can prepare. With the heaviest rain from 6pm to midnight, stay off the roads as they can become flooded and messy with the melting snow. Flash flooding is also possible with 2-4 inches of rain plus the snow that will be melting. Please do not attempt to drive through flooded and/or closed streets. The DPW is working hard to clean catch basins to reduce street flooding. There is an expectation of high winds. Do not leave any vulnerable objects outside that may cause damage if airborne. Any power outages should be reported directly to PSE&G ( https://nj.pseg.com/outageandgasleaks ), not to the police department. Do not call 911 unless you have an emergency. For safety reasons, the Trotter Tract will be closed from today at 3 p.m. until tomorrow at 3 p.m.
Instructions:
Prepare for heavy rain, wind and possible loss of power.
