Message from the National Weather Service:
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning in effect from 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. A flood watch is also in effect from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday through 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Damaging winds and heavy rain are likely in the region today and early tomorrow due to an approaching storm from the south. Winds could gust to over 60 mph.
The most severe conditions are possible starting Tuesday afternoon and continuing into the early hours of Wednesday.
A flood watch has been issued due to the potential for heavy rainfall. Please don’t be caught off-guard.
Power outages are possible as well as the possibility of fallen trees as the ground is already saturated from recent heavy rains. It’s a good idea to fully charge cell phones in advance of the storm.
