Plainfield Police Department: Severe Storms January 9th, 2024
The Plainfield Police Department would like to advise all that Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency for New Jersey. This is in effect at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9th, due to anticipated severe storms bringing heavy rain, high winds, and the risk of flash flooding. Rainfall amounts are expected to be 2-3 inches. Winds are expected to be 20-30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. Please secure any outside objects and bring in any pets that are outdoors. Residents are also asked to avoid any non-essential travel during this time. Thank you and stay safe!
