The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for our area Tuesday, January 9, 2024, until Wednesday afternoon, January 10, 2024.
 
In addition, Governor Murphy has issued a State of Emergency for New Jersey effective 5:00 pm today. 
 
A major storm system will impact the area tonight into Wednesday with heavy rainfall likely.  Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected with localized higher amounts possible during this time.
 
Excessive water runoff will result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying flood-prone areas.  Residents should be aware if they live in a flood prone area to take precautions.
 
Township roadways are also expected to flood.  Residents should expect detours and closures.
 
Please avoid travel. 
Please do NOT walk or drive through flooded areas. 
 
Winds will be 15-25 MPH, with gusts to 35-45 MPH.  Winds may cause down tree limbs resulting in power outages.
