The Town of Fairfield Emergency Management Team is closely monitoring an overnight storm Tuesday, January 9 into Wednesday, January 10. . This storm is expected to bring heavy rains exceeding 2 inches and wind gusts exceeding 40 miles per hour or even higher at times.  Residents should expect some isolated flooded roads, scattered power outages as well as the potential for basement flooding. Residents are advised not to drive to through standing water and treat all downed wires as live. Coastal residents are advised to move cars from flood prone low-lying areas during the Wednesday morning high tide at 10am.
