* At 701 PM EST, thunderstorms producing heavy rain resulted in 1 and 2.5 inches of rain this afternoon. Many creeks and streams are still rising and flash flood will continue to pose a threat this evening. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
