INCIDENT: VC 23153(b) – Driving Under the Influence Causing Bodily Injury
LOCATION: 14100 Block of Pawnee Road, Apple Valley, CA
VICTIM(S): 24-year-old male of Pomona, CA
SUSPECT(S): Anthony Tyrone Davis, 57-year-old male of Apple Valley, CA
SUMMARY: On Saturday, January 6, 2024, deputies were dispatched to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Deputies responded to the 14100 block of Pawnee Road in the town of Apple Valley and located the accident scene.
The pedestrian, a 24-year-old male from Pomona, California was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Deputy K. Mullins investigated the collision and arrested the driver of the vehicle, Anthony Tyrone Davis, for VC 23153(b), driving under the influence causing bodily injury. Davis was transported to High Desert Detention Center for housing, where he is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
On Tuesday, January 8, 2024, the Victorville District Attorney’s Office filed felony charges of VC 23153(a), - driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage causing injury, VC 23153(b) – driving with at .08% blood alcohol content causing injury and misdemeanor VC 14601.2(a) – driving when privilege suspended or revoked for driving under the influence conviction.
