** The Monroe Township School District will be operating on a 2-hour delay today **
 
The following roadways are currently closed in our township:
 

1. Perrineville Road is closed between Union Valley Road and Federal Road due to flooding.
2. Union Hill Road is closed between Englishtown Road and Pension Road due to flooding.
3. Federal Road is closed between Perrineville Road and England Road due to a tree and wires across the roadway.
4. Schoolhouse Road is closed between Buckelew Avenue and Perrineville Road due to a tree and wires across the roadway.
5. Dey Grove Road is closed between Bergen Mills Road and the Manalapan Township border due to a tree and wires across the roadway.

Please use caution while driving, follow posted detour signs and avoid the above stated roads if possible.

Currently there are approximately 371 residences still without power in our township due to the storm which passed our area overnight. JCP&L is already on location making the necessary repairs in order to restore the power as soon as possible.
 
Safety Tips:
- Always assume that all downed power lines are live!
- If you come across a flooded roadway, please don't drive through it. Turn around and report it to the police department.
