Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On January 5, at approximately 10:18 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 800 block of Kirkwood Street, when they observed 35-year-old Robert Chandler engaged in drug related activity. Officers made contact with Chandler in the area of East 9th and Kirkwood Streets, and took him into custody without incident. Police recovered 3.9 grams of crack cocaine.
Chandler has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $3,000 unsecured bail.
