SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED
A snow emergency will go into effect at 4:00AM on Friday, January 12th, 2024. Please remove vehicles from Snow Emergency Routes until this snow event has passed and all plowing operations are completed. The City asks for your cooperation to please have your vehicles removed from city streets by this time. Vehicles left on Emergency Snow Routes will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
 

SIDEWALK SNOW REMOVAL
The Yankton Department of Public Works reminds residents to shovel their sidewalks. Students and other pedestrians rely on these sidewalks for safe passage. City Ordinances require homeowners to remove snow and ice within twenty-four (24) hours after any snowfall.
