* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Northerly to northwesterly winds gusting as high as 65 mph. Visibility reduced to a half-mile at times.
* WHERE...Pribilof Islands.
* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 9 AM AKST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Very strong winds could damage property and cause power outages.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Northerly winds pick up late Friday night and turn northwesterly during the overnight hours and into the day Saturday. The heaviest snow will coincide with the arrival of the strongest winds late Friday night into early Saturday morning. This is the time period where the greatest reduction to visibility is anticipated. Precipitation will become more showery and sporadic through the late morning hours Saturday. Winds will still be elevated through much of Saturday, but visibilities should improve.
