Village-Wide Roadside Trimming Project 
The Village DPW will be starting an extensive village-wide roadside trimming and cutting project on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
The Village roadway right-of-way (ROW), adjacent to resident’s properties, has vegetation which requires trimming and/or removal.
In order to insure safety for the traveling public; proper sight distances, traffic sign clearance and roadway clearances for trucks (including sanitation vehicles), the lower branches of some trees will need to be removed and, in some cases, entire overgrown bushes.
Some ornamental trees and bushes will also need to be trimmed back several feet from the edge of the roadway into the Village right-of-way (first 10 feet).
Which this maybe aesthetically unpleasing, it is needed for safety reasons.
