Another storm to affect area with heavy rain/strong winds tonight into Saturday morning
Another storm will affect the area tonight into Saturday morning with heavy rain and strong, gusty winds.
While not as bad as the previous system earlier in the week, downpours late this evening and through the predawn can lead to streams/creeks to exceed their banks.
Rainfall should range between 1.00 – 1.50 inches. Embedded downpours can lead to a few instances of poor drainage/roadway ponding.
Winds will be gusty overnight, but truly peak late and into Saturday. A Wind Advisory has been issued from 8 p.m. this evening to 5 p.m. Saturday for winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Please be sure to secure outdoor objects.
