* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. For the Winter Weather Advisory, lighter snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 13 inches, lesser amounts north and west of La Crosse Wisconsin. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota and central, southwest and west central Wisconsin.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until midnight CST tonight. For the Winter Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
