INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery

LOCATION: 6300 Blossom Lane, Chino Hills, CA 91709

SUSPECT(S): Aresh Narmaki, 52-years of age, resident of Chino Hills

VICTIM(S): Confidential

SUMMARY: On January 4, 2024, an armed robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo Bank located in the 15800 block of Soquel Canyon Pkwy, Chino Hills. After the robbery, Riverside Sheriff’s Department (RSD) Jurupa Valley Station investigators communicated with Chino Hills Station detectives and disclosed the same suspect committed a bank robbery in their jurisdiction on December 6, 2023. RSD investigators shared information which helped Chino Hills Station detectives identify a person of interest, Aresh Narmaki.

On January 11, 2024, Chino Hills detectives, with assistance from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department (SBCSD) Specialized Enforcement Division, took Narmaki into custody and served a search warrant at his residence in the 6300 block of Blossom Lane, Chino Hills. RSD investigators also responded at Narmaki's residence. Evidence related to both bank robberies was recovered. At approximately 2:25 p.m., investigators found a device consistent with an improvised explosive device inside the garage. Nearby residents were evacuated, and Blossom Lane was closed between Amber Hill Way and Carnation Way. Personnel from the SBCSD, Bombs and Arson detail, responded and rendered the explosive device safe. Narmaki was booked at the West Valley Detention Center for armed robbery - PC211.

The joint investigation between RSD and SBCSD yielded a positive result and prevented Narmaki from continuing his robbery spree.
