Advisory

Rainstorm Expected 01/12 - 01/13 Overnight

The Township of Washington is currently forecasted to receive another 1-2 inches of rain in the overnight hours between Friday January 12th and Saturday January 13th. Rainfall is expected to be the heaviest between 11pm and 4am and winds are expected to be between 15-25mph with gusts up to 30mph.  With saturated grounds and sustained winds, trees and limbs may come down and cause power outages. Currently the Musquapsink Brook is free and clear of any large trees or excessive debris which would cause any flow restrictions to the Brook.  The Township of Washington Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor the storm for any changing conditions.  As a reminder, below are options on how to report a power outage to PSE&G and residents shall not touch any downed wires and to notify the Police Department of any safety concerns.
