A SNOW EMERGENCY HAS BEEN DECLARED EFFECTIVE FRIDAY JANUARY 12, 2024 at 7 PM.
For the safety of your vehicles and for snow removal purposes, vehicle parking is prohibited on City streets during a snow emergency. Vehicles may not be put back in the street until the snow emergency has been canceled.
A Snow Emergency is automatically in effect whenever 3 or more inches of snow have fallen, BUT CAN BE CALLED FOR SNOW AMOUNTS UNDER 3 INCHES AND FOR ICE.
Notification of a snow emergency and it's cancellation can be found on GCTV, www.gardencitymi.org, on local Detroit television and radio outlets, or you can be notified automatically through Nixle on your cell phone or to your e-mail account.
