Webster County O E S is closely monitoring power outages and weather conditions. Mon Power is working hard to get power restored as quickly as they can, however the continuation of the wind is still knocking down lines in some areas.
If you are without power and need a place to warm up and charge your battery devices these following locations are open and welcoming residents to stop by, warm up, and charge phones:
Webster Springs First Baptist Church
Bergoo Baptist Church
Cowen City Building
Erbacon Community Center
Hacker Valley Senior Center
Please note our agency is not able to provide individuals or businesses with generators or heaters.
Be aware that space heaters, buddy heaters, and camping stoves can give off carbon monoxide, an odorless and colorless gas. This gas can cause poisoning. Only use these devices in well-ventilated areas.
