* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches above 6000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 11 inches above 6000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
* WHERE...Northern Elko County, Southwest Elko County and South Central Elko County.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 4 PM PST this afternoon. For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 7 AM PST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels continue to rise across northeast Nevada with lesser impacts to major lower-elevation roadways, most below 6000 feet. Moderate to heavy snow is still expected along passes and higher elevation roadways.
