Winter Weather Advisory
***A Message from the #Haledon Office of Emergency Management***
On behalf of Mayor Michael Johnson and Haledon Emergency Management Coordinator Carlos Aymat, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning this evening, Monday, January 15, 2024, at 10:00 PM, and lasting until 7:00 PM tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Our area is expected to receive 2 to 3 inches of snow and ice.
As a reminder, all snow, including sidewalks and vehicles, must be shoveled within 24 hours after the snowfall. Additionally, using foreign objects to reserve parking spaces is prohibited, and violators may be issued a summons. Please ensure that fire hydrants are clear of snow. Whenever possible, please park in your respective driveways to facilitate safe and effective plowing by the Haledon DPW. These conditions could potentially impact the morning or evening commute.
We urge everyone to slow down and use caution while traveling during this period.
Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe.
Instructions:
Use caution while driving.
