One Injured in Snowmobile Crash 
On January 15, 2024 at approximately 7:45 PM, Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that his deputies were sent out to a single snowmobile crash located near the intersection of Indian Lake and Frost Street in Pokagon Township. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with injured driver, 26-year-old Niles resident, Chandler Plow. Plow was operating a snowmobile southbound on the trails near Indian Lake and Frost St. when he lost control of the snowmobile and it over-turned, landing on top of him. Plow was transferred to South Bend Memorial Hospital for his non-life-threatening injuries.
Plow was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
Assisting at the scene was SMCAS and Indian Lake Fire Department.
