Repairs begin 01/16/2024 at NE 31 Court Bridge and the NE 22 Ave Bridge at NE 44 Street. Expect delays. 
Long awaited repairs to eight of the City's waterway bridges are scheduled to begin on today, 01/16, starting with the NE 31st Court Bridge and the NE 22nd Avenue Bridge at NE 44th Street. During the repairs one travel lane will be closed to facilitate worker safety and equipment storage. Thru-traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals which communicate with each other and operate just like permanent roadway signals. Please obey the signals. Additionally, left turns for eastbound NE 44th Street at Lighthouse Drive will be restricted due to the proximity of the work zone and limited sight distances. Right turns at said intersection are not restricted.
The first two bridges are anticipated to take 2-3 weeks to complete. Additional public service notices will be posted as the projects progress. Thank you for your patience with this very important project.
