Boonville man arrested on DUI charge. 
On January 15, 2024, at 11:41 p.m. Sgt. John Fischer observed a 2019 Subaru Outback improperly parked in front of the Marathon Fastbreak located at 804 East Oak Street in Fort Branch. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt. Fischer spoke with the driver 44 year old Matthew Maday of Boonville and detected signs of impairment. At that point Sgt. Fischer began a DUI investigation that resulted in Mr. Maday being transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Refusal.
Assisting Sgt. Fischer in his investigation was Deputy Bart Wagner and Princeton Officer Zach Strickland.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
