The Wilmington Police Department is announcing the cancellation of the following programs scheduled for January 18:

• Weekly Community Outreach Walk (1 p.m., 4th and Broom Streets)
• Monthly Community Resource Fair (4-6 p.m., Police Athletic League of Wilmington)

Unfortunately, road conditions in many of our neighborhoods remain poor following the inclement weather this week, and additional freezing is possible on roads and sidewalks tonight and into tomorrow. Street parking near the planned location for the Resource Fair is even more limited than usual due to the remaining snow and ice on the roadways.
 
Out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety, and with a smaller anticipated attendance from the public, we have made the difficult decision to cancel these programs scheduled for tomorrow.
 
Our next Community Outreach Walk will take place on Thursday, January 25, and our next Community Resource Fair will take place on February 15.
