Wilmington Police arrest man and woman in connection with burglary:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a burglary.
On December 20, at approximately 4:31 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1200 block of Read Street, in reference to a burglary. The case was assigned to Detective Joran Merced of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of his investigation, Detective Merced identified 28-year-old Christopher Williams and 24-year-old Jynease Shockley as suspects, and obtained warrants for their arrest. On January 10, members of the Uniformed Services Division located Williams in the 100 block of South Harrison Street, and took him into custody without incident. On January 11, members of the Uniformed Services Division located Shockley in the 200 block of South Harrison Street, and took her into custody without incident.
Williams has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (First Degree)
- Theft Under $1,5000
Shockley has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (First Degree)
- Theft Under $1,5000
