1. Arson / Weapon Arrest (1517) 4500 Block of Shelley Court, Valley Oak District
Officers conducted follow-up on an arson that occurred earlier in the day and arrested the suspect. A loaded firearm was located. ARRESTED: Miguel Barajas, 39, for arson and weapon charges.
2. Armed Robbery (1930) Airport Way and Flora Street, Park District
The male victim, 30, was walking in the listed area when the suspects approached him on foot. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim, assaulted him, took his property, and fled on foot. SUSPECTS: Two black male adults.
3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2044) 200 Block of East Main Street, Civic District
The female victim, 23, was near the listed location when she was assaulted by the suspect who attempted to steal her vehicle. The suspect continued to assault the victim and stole her property, and the victim was able to escape. The victim did not report any injuries and declined medical attention. Officers located the suspect and arrested him without incident. ARRESTED: Christopher Bennett, 53, for assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, robbery, and carjacking.
