Woman Arrested After Vehicle Search Turns Up Drugs
Detective David Jones with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged 25-year-old Alexandra Jaqueline Cole with felonious Possession of Methamphetamine, 2 counts of felonious Trafficking Methamphetamine, 2 counts felonious Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, felonious Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for a CS, felonious Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver a Schedule II CS, felonious Identity Theft, Simple Possession of a Schedule III CS, Fictitious Info to an Officer and Carrying a Concealed Gun. Cole was issued a $280,000 secured bond.
On January 5th, Detective D. Jones was patrolling the area of US 221 South and stopped a vehicle after observing numerous traffic violations. The driver provided a false name to detectives but was later identified as Cole. Detective Burnette and K9 Kessy assisted with the traffic stop. Kessy alerted on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics. A search turned up methamphetamine, ecstasy, mushrooms and a concealed gun.
