Winter Weather warning from Bordentown Township office of emergency management
Attention Bordentown Township Residents,
Our area is expecting snow fall starting at 4am and continuing till 10pm on Friday January 19,2024. The snowfall will lead to potentially hazardous road conditions. Weather experts predict snow accumulations of 4-6 inches or more for our community.
To assist our Department of Public Works (DPW) in their efforts to clear the roads, we request that you move all vehicles and garbage cans off the road, if possible.
Please exercise extreme caution while driving, as roads are expected to be slippery. Here are some safety tips to keep in mind:
- Before driving, ensure that you have cleared all snow from your vehicle, including the hood, windows, and roof. This is a legal requirement in New Jersey.
- Drive at or below the speed limit, adjusting your speed to match the changing road conditions.
- Treat all downed power lines as live and avoid contact with them.
Bordentown Township public works, Bordentown Township Police Department, Bordentown Fire Districts and Bordentown Township Office of Emergency Management are monitoring the storm and will keep residents informed as more data comes in.
We strongly advise minimizing unnecessary travel and allowing extra time for your Friday commute.
For any emergencies, please dial 911 immediately.
Stay safe and stay informed!
