Wind Chill Advisory in effect for NW McDowell County starting midnight tonight through noon on Saturday.

WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO NOON EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as
15 below zero.

* WHERE...The North Carolina mountains and Rabun County in Georgia.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to noon EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Although wind chill values are expected to
warm above zero across the valleys Saturday afternoon, values
are expected to remain below zero for elevations above about
3500 feet through the day.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
