Snow Storm Impact Friday 

The snowfall is expected to come to an end this afternoon. South Brunswick Department of Public Work Crews have been working throughout the day to clear the roads.  So far we have received about 3 inches of snow. Overall traffic has been light as most schools and some businesses closed for the day. Here are some of the numbers for the day -

Roads
Most major roads are clear and many side roads conditions are improving. Use reduced speeds if traveling.

We thank everyone for limiting travel, which has reduced the number of calls today. 

Garbage Collection
Any residence that was scheduled for normal pickup on Friday, will be picked up on Saturday.

Forecast
Moderate Snow Exits Early this Afternoon... Snow has been moderate for a time but will gradually give way to lighter snow this afternoon. Treated surfaces can see some coverage and may even necessitate some pushing under these better intensities, and again towards sunset as we lose the sun, but by this point, mainly a light snow is expected. Thanks to these areas of better moderate snow totals have been slightly bumped to 2.5-4.5”. Light snow tapers to showers around sunset before exiting in the evening. Temps still plummet overnight, so any wet or slushy surfaces will freeze up.
