Detective Michael Vaughn with McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 38-year-old Justin Matthew Adkins with felonious Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. Adkins was issued a $50,000 secured bond.
On November 8th, Vaughn assisted NC Probation/Parole Officers with a routine search of Adkins’ electronic devices. The search turned up evidence which led to Adkins’ charges. He is currently on probation and is a registered sex offender. A warrant was obtained for Adkins, which led to his arrest on Jan 3rd.
