Code Blue Protocol / Haledon Warming Center Availability
**A Message from the Haledon Office of Emergency Management**
On behalf of Mayor Michael Johnson and Haledon Emergency Management Coordinator Carlos Aymat, in accordance with the Cold Blue protocol in Passaic County, a Code Blue is declared whenever the temperature drops below 32 degrees. In response to a Cold Blue activation, it is important to be reminded that the Community Room in the Haledon Municipal Complex always serves as a Warming Center, providing shelter from freezing cold temperatures.
If you, or a resident you know, are in need of shelter during these weather conditions, you are encouraged to make use of this facility. We urge everyone to share this information and support those who may require assistance.
For accommodation, please check-in with the Haledon Police Department Front Desk.
If you are aware of any unsheltered homeless individuals in need of a warming center, please contact the Haledon Police Department at 973.790.4444. They will then notify the Passaic County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at (973) 389-5951, informing them of an at-risk individual in need of shelter under the Passaic County Code Blue Alert Plan.
Remember, you can also dial 2-1-1 for additional support.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
