DETAILS: The APD Homicide Unit has received word that the bones found during the Smelter Road dig have been confirmed by lab personnel to be animal bones and not human. This conclusion was reached after thorough analysis of the samples. This may be disappointing to some, but our Homicide Unit will not let this information deter them from fully investigating and following up on any leads or information related to this case.
