...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST /NOON
CST/ THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Freezing rain bringing total ice accumulations from one
tenth to one quarter of an inch.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST /noon CST/ today.
* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are expected into late
morning including the morning commute. Isolated power outages
are possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Cold ground temperatures have caused
secondary and untreated roads to become icy and very slippery.
Pavement temperatures will rise above freezing later today and
allow travel conditions to improve.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Outdoor surfaces have become icy and extremely slippery. If you
must travel, be especially careful driving. Sidewalks, driveways
and other paved surfaces have also become icy and should be used
with extreme caution.
