Special Weather Statement until 09:00AM

Scattered to numerous light snow showers have developed across portions of northeastern and central Nevada this morning. As of 530am, Nevada Department of Transportation webcams and remote weather platforms are showing light snow on area roadways with minor accumulations of an inch or two. Some of the higher passes and summits, including Connors Pass, Hickison Summit, and Austin Summit are seeing several inches or more. This is causing slick and slushy driving conditions this morning. If venturing out, please use caution while driving. Roadways could be slush covered and slippery. Please drive to arrive at your destination safely. Visit www.weather.gov/elko for the latest weather information.
