Full Notification

On January 22, 2024, at approximately 11:40 A.M., Gilroy police officers responded to the 2100 block of Periwinkle Drive for a reported shooting.  When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered the suspects had already fled the scene.  According to the preliminary investigation, at least two unknown suspects entered the residence and were confronted by the occupants.  A struggle ensued, and at least one round was discharged from a firearm.  Fortunately, no one was injured by the gunfire, but at least one resident suffered injuries related to the struggle.  The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. 
 
The suspects were last seen fleeing the neighborhood in a light-colored SUV.
