INCIDENT: P.C. 211- Robbery, P.C. 148(A)(1)- Obstruction of Public Officer
LOCATION: 15655 Roy Rogers Dr, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Davon Woodard, 30-year-old Transient of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Friday, January 19, 2024, at approximately 11:50 a.m., deputies responded to Home Depot on Roy Rogers Drive for a male suspect who was causing a disturbance inside the business.
Upon arrival, deputies located the male suspect, later identified as Davon Woodard, 30-year-old transient of Victorville, outside of the business. Woodard was walking to the rear of the location with unpaid merchandise. Woodard, with a hatchet in each hand, attempted to walk away from deputies. Deputy Barajas was able to detain Woodard and take him into custody.
Woodard was arrested for PC 211- Robbery and PC 148(A)(1)- Obstructing a Public Officer and booked at High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held at West Valley Detention Center in leiu of $50,000 bail.
