The Simi Valley community is reminded to attend a public forum hosted by the Simi Valley Police Department on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 6:00 pm. Taking place at Simi Valley City Hall, this public event aims to explore the cutting-edge FLOCK SAFETY system, a technological initiative presented by the Simi Valley Police Department. At the core of this innovation are FLOCK SAFETY cameras strategically capturing the license plates of vehicles entering the community. This groundbreaking tool provides law enforcement with actionable evidence, significantly enhancing their ability to investigate and solve crimes. Given that 7 in 10 crimes involve a vehicle, the FLOCK SAFETY camera plays a pivotal role in capturing suspect vehicles, thereby contributing to crime prevention and bolstering the safety of local neighborhoods.
For those unable to attend the forum in person on January 25th, the event will be live-streamed on the city's YouTube channel. Whether in person or virtually, community members will have the opportunity to gain insights directly from the Simi Valley Police Department about the FLOCK SAFETY system. Simi Valley Police Department personnel will be available to provide an in-depth understanding of how this technology works and its impact on community safety. The forum will also feature a dedicated Q&A session, allowing attendees to submit questions for discussion. This open invitation encourages all interested individuals to actively engage in the ongoing conversation about community safety and contribute to making Simi Valley a safer place for everyone. Join us for this informative session on January 25th at 6:00 pm.
