Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested After Returning to the Crime Scene in Needles

LOCATION: 5400 Block National Trails Highway, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Alejandro Enrique Luna, 31 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 5400 block of National Trails Highway reference a report of Domestic Violence.
During the investigation, it was determined the suspect, Alejandro Luna, choked the victim and made several threats of serious bodily harm towards the victim and her family. The victim was able to break away from Luna, who exited the residence and began breaking windows on the victim’s vehicle, causing extensive damage.
Luna fled the scene prior to deputies arrival and returned back to the residence approximately three hours later, where deputies made contact with him and placed him under arrest without incident. Luna was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Luna remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $1,000,000.00, pending a court hearing.
