INCIDENT: Missing Person Located
LOCATION: Mormon Road and State Highway 138
DECEDENT: Christian Alan Petrie, 55-year-old Male Resident of Crestline
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, January 20, 2024, deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to a residence in Crestline for the report of a missing person. Christian Alan Petrie was last seen on Sunday, January 14, 2024, in the Crestline area and his family had not heard from him.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, a Sheriff’s Department’s search and rescue crew was deployed and at about 1:27 p.m., Petrie was located, deceased, in the forest area of Mormon Road and State Highway 138, in Crestline. Petrie was hoisted out of the forest and transported to the Coroner’s Office. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
