* At 641 PM CST, emergency management reported flash flooding with multiple reports of significant flooding on major roadways along with water approaching businesses in the Covington and Mandeville area. Between 4.5 and 6.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Covington, Abita Springs, Madisonville and Lacombe. This includes the follwing Interstate... Interstate 12 between mile markers 58 and 71.
