UPDATE ---Active Law Enforcement Investigation Alert (Bail Out)---UPDATE 
Local law enforcement officers have an active crime scene around Hwy 277 North and Interstate 10 South Service Road. Vehicular traffic is restricted for north and south bound traffic on Hwy 277. The area of Motel 6 is also an active crime scene.
We are asking our community to avoid these areas for obvious safety reasons.
Please report suspicious individuals to the Sutton County Sheriff's Office at 325 387-2288 or dial 911 for emergencies.
UPDATE 11:00 AM
The driver of fleeing vehicle has been detained at Road Ranger and is in law enforcement custody.
There is still a heavy law enforcement presence in the area of Hwy 277 and I-10. Please avoid this area.
No immediate community threat currently.
