Wilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges.
On January 22, at approximately 12:25 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 400 block of West 7th Street, when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with 19-year-old Jaheem White and 19-year-old Yimier Sharpe, who were both taken into custody without incident. Following a brief investigation, police recovered 4.3 grams of crack cocaine, 574.9 grams of marijuana, $390, and drug paraphernalia.
White has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released after posting $5,100 secured bail.
Sharpe has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $100 unsecured bail.
