Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the pictured suspects in connection with a theft on January 21, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m. at a store in the 100 block of Ferry Street as the victim was about to purchase merchandise. On surveillance video, suspect #1 unzips the victim’s tote bag while suspect #2 removes a black wallet containing $60 and identification.
Suspect #1, described as a Hispanic female, was wearing a black jacket, black pants, grey hat, and grey shoes. Suspect #2, also described as a Hispanic female, was wearing a black hat with white lettering, a black jacket, dark pants, and grey sneakers.
