On 07/21/2022, Law Enforcement responded to Richards Rd in Conley in reference to an armed male suspect actively shooting at two people.

Upon Law Enforcement arrival, multiple bullet shell casings were found, and two victims were shot multiple times with one unresponsive.

The Outstanding Detectives of The Clayton County Police Department lead by Chief Kevin Roberts, quickly identified the suspect and the following warrants were obtained for Charles Wise.

    1.    Murder with Malice 
    2.    Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon 
    3.    Possesses of a firearm during the commission of a crime 
    4.    Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. 


SHERFF LEVON ALLEN moved Charles Wise to #5 on his Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List and the hunt has been on for Wise. 

Sheriff Allen stopped in Turkey on the Loose in Riverdale and one of the owners pleaded with Sheriff Allen to find the Murder Suspect, Charles Wise. 

Sheriff Allen assured them he could run, but he couldn’t hide. Nights, Weekends, or Holidays would not keep his Elite Fugitive Squad from finding him.

The heat was turned up on Wise in Clayton County forcing our hunt to move South. Sheriff Allen reached out to Sheriff Davis in Bibb County and, at one point, into the State of Alabama.

Cutting off all avenues of Wise support in Clayton County, Bibb County, Georgia and Alabama. 

The Clayton County Fugitive Squad teamed up with the US Marshal’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Nevada Violent Offender Task Force. Last night, Murder Suspect Charles Wise was taken into custody in Nevada.
