Winter Storm Watch until 05:00PM Monday

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 20 to 30 inches possible.

* WHERE...East Turnagain Arm, Seward Highway.

* WHEN...From Sunday evening through Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A low pressure system pushing towards Prince William Sound is expected to bring heavy snow along the Seward Highway from Girdwood to Portage, through Turnagain Pass and south to Seward. Light snow will begin Sunday afternoon, becoming heavy Sunday night into Monday morning and will lighten up again Monday afternoon. While snow is expected to be persistent Sunday afternoon through Monday night, the heaviest snow and highest snow accumulation will be during the overnight hours Sunday into Monday with more than a foot possible. Total snow accumulation for this event will range from 20 to 30 inches.
