Flood Watch until 05:00AM Sunday

...The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in Virginia...Maryland... Rappahannock River at Remington affecting Culpeper and Southern Fauquier zones. Seneca Creek at Dawsonville affecting Northwest Montgomery zone. ...The Flood Watch continues for the following rivers in West Virginia...Maryland... Potomac River at Shepherdstown affecting Jefferson, Washington and Berkeley Counties. Opequon Creek near Martinsburg affecting Jefferson and Berkeley Counties.

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Opequon Creek near Martinsburg.

* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Floodwaters begin to cover Douglas Grove Road (County Road 9/16) east of Martinsburg. A portion of Bowers Road is also flooded. Low lying areas near the creek begin to flood. Water also begins to cover the stream access point at the Van Metre Ford Pedestrian Bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM EST Saturday the stage was 2.8 feet, or 7.2 feet below flood stage. - Forecast...Flood stage may be reached based on the latest forecast information. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
