* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water goes over the banks of the Potomac near the mouth of the Opequon River.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 PM EST Sunday the stage was 7.8 feet, or 7.2 feet below flood stage. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Monday morning to a crest of 16.9 feet Monday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.9 feet on 03/22/1936. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
