Opequon Creek near Martinsburg affecting Berkeley and Jefferson Counties. Cacapon River near Great Cacapon affecting Morgan County. For the Potomac River...including Paw Paw, Hancock, Shepherdstown, Harpers Ferry, Point of Rocks, Edwards Ferry, Little Falls...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Opequon Creek...including Martinsburg...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Cacapon River...including Great Cacapon...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water goes over the banks of the Potomac near the mouth of the Opequon River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 AM EST Monday the stage was 10.3 feet, or 4.7 feet below flood stage. - Bankfull stage is 0.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 16.4 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.4 feet on 10/19/1975. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information
