Motor Vehicle Crash CR646 
On Friday, January 26th, 2024, at approximately 8:55 pm, Middle Township Police responded to the 300 block of Swainton-Goshen Road (CR646) following a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a single vehicle colliding with a tree.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that the vehicle had four occupants at the time of the incident. The driver was found unconscious, prompting immediate intervention by an officer who initiated Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) until Emergency Services arrived. The driver was subsequently transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division, where they are currently listed in critical but stable condition with a head injury.
The front seat passenger, also suffering from a head injury, was transported to Cooper Medical Center and is in critical, but stable condition. The two remaining passengers were transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The Middle Township Police Crash Team has taken charge of the ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Assisting in the response and investigation were Inspira Emergency Medical Services, Middle Township Ambulance Corp, AtlantiCare Paramedics, Goshen Volunteer Fire Company, and the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office.
